The Triennial Election for Officers in Division 301 will soon be upon us. Nomination for officers for the division will be accepted September 1, 2009. I have tried to put some information on this page concerning the election for everyone’s benefit. I have a list of members qualified to run and hold office. According to the BYLAWS of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen under Section 25, Note 1: Beginning January 1, 2006, eligibility to run for office will be determined by the applicable provisions of the IBT Constitution as modified in Paragraph 6.8 of the IBT/BLE Merger Agreement. Members should be aware that these provisions require the timely payment of dues for a fixed period prior to nomination and that any failure to pay dues during the applicable period, even if excused, will render the member ineligible to run for office.
